The Zoo and Park Slope

Jacket: BCBG, Skirt: Nicole Miller, Shirt: DKNY pure, Leggings: American Apparel, Shoes: BCBG,
Bag: Vintage, Sunglasses: D&G

Went on a short trip to the Bronx Zoo (short due to my lack of liking anything I put on that day)
. The outfit I settled on was probably not the most kid or single male adult appropriate. After checking out some animals (the Red Panda is my favorite) we headed over to Brooklyn to grab some vegan food at one of my favorite restaurants called The V-Spot. On our way over we snapped some photos of my outfit and a man poked his head out of a garage and suggested we take photos inside because there was "a lot of stuff in here". Okay, normally we'd decline and relocate as fast as possible but Billy leaned his whole body inside the garage to see what kind of "stuff" this guy was talking about. Turns out, he had about 100 vintage cars inside his garage. He claims he lent one to the B52's "Loveshack" video, which I have yet to Youtube and see if it's true. Regardless, it was awesome seeing all the cars and really inspiring to meet someone who had such a strong passion.

Winter, Spring, Winter.

Photos by: William Thomas

Coat: Vintage, Cowl back sweater: Alexander Wang, Pink shirt: Men's Pure DKNY, Skirt: American Apparel, Boots: Thrifted, Sunglasses: Ray Ban, Horse bag: Vintage

Took a chilly walk through Central park, shopped in Topshop for the last time ever, visited the Alexander Wang store, stuffed my face with vegan food from Food swings in Brooklyn, wore my favorite sweater, ate more vegan food at Wild Ginger, witnessed a moving karaoke rendition of "too close", was excited and disappointed at the same time to wear my new vintage coat and got my car broken into under the BQE. Luckily my A. Wang boots and Billy's camera equipment were left unharmed.

Double Take.

Jacket: BCBG, Blouse: DKNY, Jeans: random pair I've had forever, Necklace: BR + gifted glass and bead necklace, Belt: Michael Kors, Boots: Alexander Wang, Sunglasses: Ralph Lauren, Lipstick: MAC vegas volt.

I've never been a person to wear things once. If I find something I like, I'll wear it until it falls apart. I love the color combo of the purple and yellow (I think I said that in the last post) so i tried changing the look a little with a darker pair of jeans and a metal belt. We took these after my little cousins middle school play (she was amazing!!) and did some exploring on Long Island after. Pretty much a perfect Sunday.

Some Color.

Necklace: BR, Silk printed shirt:DKNY ($2 thrift store find) Jacket: BCBG, Jeans: DKNYjeans, Lipstick: Nicki Minaj for MAC

Finally a warm day on Long Island. A quick run around on the beach and some rock and shell collecting took up most of the afternoon. I'm experimenting with lipstick, which is way out of my daily makeup routine( if smudging blush on my face with my fingertips and calling it quits is a "routine"). The only lipstick brand I trust to use is MAC. I'll admit, I know nothing about the brand. For $14 a pop I assume it must be good. So far I own 4 different colors and they've held up incredibly long throughout the day. Also, the color that you see in the tube is exactly what ends up on your lips. Can anyone suggest other brands trust and use?

Burberry Blouse

Blouse: vintage Burberry, Jacket: BCBG, Shorts: thrifted Levis, Stirrup tights: DKNY, Boots: Alexander Wang, Denim skirt: American Apparel, Top: Random sweatshirt crop top thing.

Just throwing it out there, the Burberry top I picked up for $1.99. I thought maybe there was dust or a smudge between the 1 and the 99. But no, a bank breaking $1.99. That's less than my coffee. Anyone else have a great vintage find?

A little too soon

Shirt: Men's Pure DKNY Trousers: Philip Lim 3.1 Boots: Alexander Wang

A few photos I snapped before work of what I wish I was wearing today. Just something simple, light and breathable. Sadly it's still too cold in NY. I've never worn white trousers and I'm still a little nervous about actually facing mankind in them. I'm sure I'll spill coffee or sit in something by the end of my first real adventure wearing them. The boots I purchased recently at the Barneys Warehouse sale(my bf and I try and go once a year, I'd really love to go twice a year!)They retail at about $650, I purchased them for $220. Pretty decent price, but they're difficult to walk in. What is everyone else excited to wear?
